Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya is a degree college owned by the Government of West Bengal and is situated in Hooghly, West Bengal. It is affiliated to the University of Burdwan and recognized by the UGC. In 2016 the college was awarded NAAC grade B. According to the NIRF ranking 2023, the Ramkrishna Mahavidyalaya college was ranked 151 in colleges in India.
The college provides many different undergraduate streams such as the BA, BSc and BCom programs. Subjects such as Bengali, English, Sanskrit, History, Political science, Philosophy, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Accounts, Physics chemistry, Biology, Organic chemistry and Mathematics can be opted for as honours subjects. The admission process is merit based for many of their programs. Dates of examination are released as per the university academic register in March or April every year. It is usually in June of every year to the next academic session starting in 2024.
