Rani Channamma University (RCU) is an affiliating university in the state of Karnataka, in the city of Belagavi in the Indian state of Karnataka. It was established in 2010 and is an acknowledgement by University Grants Commission (UGC). Accreditation of the RCU is proved by its B+ NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council) grade. The NIRF ranking for RCU in the year 2023 has placed the institution in the 101-150 band out of all institutions in India.
RCU confers undergraduate, postgraduate including PhD degrees in various fields of study such as arts, science, education, commerce, management sciences, engineering and technology. The main courses offered at RCU are the Under Graduate courses which include BA, BCom, and BCA, BSc, BE / BTech and Post Graduate courses which include MBA, MCA, MSc, MA and MCom. The university administers semester exams in November/ December and April/ May of each year. The admission process begins in May and some of the candidates might get the admission confirmed after the counseling sessions in September. For the purpose of 2024 admission session, the RCU will allow students to apply in online mode, the student need to submit the application form along with the necessary documents before the last date.
RCU has a vibrant placement cell for the final year students to get recruited directly from college. Recruiting companies, which include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, and Tech Mahindra have placed many RCU students in previous years. The maximum salary offered at RCU placements has been up to Rs 12, 000/- per month while the average salary offered is from Rs 3, 00,000 to 5, 00,000/- per annum. More than 75 percent of the eligible students have been placed in On Campus and Off Campus Drives. But for the training/internship opportunities of the following years for the 2024 graduating batch it is expected that the placement rate will have an increase.

Rani Channamma University in Belagavi, Karnataka has gradually improved its placement over the years. During the academic year 2021-22, the campus recruitment has been conducted for more than 65 companies and nearly 75% of the eligible students have been placed. Some of the leading recruiters in the recent placements were Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, and Cognizant.
