Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth (RSV) Tirupati is one of the deemed university and running courses in number of fields. The key divisions contain Veda, Vyakarana, Sahitya, Darshan, Jyotish, Dharmasastra. It is mandatory for most of the bachelors programs to passed class 12 in the related subject with minimum 50 % marks. Courses like M.Sc Mathematics and M.Sc Physics have their own entrance exam while for M.Sc Computer Science students can get admission on the basis of scores in national level exams like NET/SET.
The university provides several programs at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma and Certificate levels in the various departments. This is a list of some of the popular streams/courses offered today namely: BA in Sanskrit Studies, Veda Bhashya Vyakaranam, Sahitya, Darshanam, Vastushastra, Jyotisham, Puranetihasam and Dharmasastram. As for the entrance examination this academic year 2024, the date for these courses shall also be communicated in due course through the website.
Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Tirupati releases its admission forms for different courses of under graduation and post graduation in Sanskrit every year. Admission can be sought either offline mode or online mode only before the last date fixed for this purpose.
To apply for the online form, the candidate has to visit the official website rsvidyapeetha.ac.in and find the admission tab. Choose the course of preference and complete all the information on the application form and attach copies of certain documents. Also, submit the application fee for the form online to finalize the forms. The last step would be to complete the form and take a printed copy for future references.

Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth at Tirupati has various undergraduate courses in teaching disciplines such as Veda, Vyakarana, Jyotisha, Sahitya, Darshana. For taking admission in Shiksha Shastri 3-year degree one has to clear the 12th exam in Sanskrit or get through the entrance exam of the university in Sanskrit. The Vidyavaridhi program entails having the candidate possessing any degree and having taken Sanskrit in the 12th year or having sat for the university entrance exam. Other UG courses there admit students on the basis of national level tests such as UGAT / CUET / SET.
It imparts Bachelors’ degree in disciplines such as Business Administration, Computer Applications, Commerce, Science, Arts, and others along with integrated courses in areas like Computational Linguistics, Vedic Studies, Philosophy, Astrology, Literature. The general competitive entrance examinations for admissions are conducted at the national level and for university level usually in the period of May-July every year.
Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth in Tirupati has a number of masters courses in different departments. The admission requirement is that the students must have completed their bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream with minimum 50% aggregate marks from a recognized university. Students who have passed the NET/SET/SLET/GATE/JRF tests or who have passed state-level eligibility tests can also apply.
The University has 16 programs and specializations of postgraduate level available for students. The courses are in streams such as Veda, Vyakaran, Sahitya, Nyaya, Advaita Vedanta. These programs to be taken in the 2024 academic year will probably commence admitting new students in May-June 2024. The candidates are being selected on the basis of the entrance test that has been conducted or even best national and state level exams like NET/SET/SLET.
