Regional Institute of Management and Technology is one of the premier educational institutions based in Gobindgarh, Punjab that offers several undergraduate and postgraduate courses in management, computer applications, commerce, arts & science. The BBA program of RIMT & Management has following eligibility norms: The candidate should have passed 12th in any stream with minimum 50% marks. BCA program also has similar eligibility to get the loan.But there is another eligibility too.The Smart and Skilled Tobacco Plan 2014 also allows the BCA program to get the money. The BA and B.Com programs admit candidates from any stream with their 12th marks in related subjects being considered. This admission requires applicants to sit and pass recognized exams such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA among others depending on the program. These courses also accept other entrance tests at the national level such as CAT, MAT, GMAT etc in addition to the RIMT entrance test. RIMT also has courses B.Tech and M.Tech in computer science engineering, electronics and communication engineering, Mechanical Engineering etc, the basic entrance examinations for admission are JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
The various programs in RIMT for the next year intake of undergraduate and postgraduate level with academic year 2024 has the admission process available for online registration and application forms submission from November 2023. The accepted exams for several programs are between December 2023 – May 2024 and for RIMT entrance tests will be in 1st – 2nd week of June 2024. Candidates short listed for group discussion and personal interview will be announced in third-fourth week of June 2024. The first list of students for admission will be released in the first week of July, while other subsequent lists will be released during the same month. It is taken into consideration that classes are to begin from any time in the last week of July or at the earliest the first week of August, 2024 for different courses in field of management, computer applications, engineering, sciences, humanities and commerce. The number and detailed timing of these seats too can depend on the programme in question.
The admissions in the Regional Institute of Management and Technology (RIMT) Gobindgarh are available online as well as offline for students who wants to get admission there.
Candidates interested in online application should log on to the official website of the university –www.rimt.ac.in and navigate to ‘Admissions’. Choose the course of interest and complete the online course application form in a manner that meets your needs. Scan the photograph, signature and other relevant documents that are required to be uploaded in the panel as per the prescribed size. The last entrance form fee can be paid online through credit/debit card/net banking etc. The receipt after successful submission of the entrance form can be downloaded and printed for further use.
In case of offline admission, one needs to visit the admission office at the institute’s campus and collect the application form. Kindly complete the form, sign both the form and attach photographs & attested photocopies of the documents. The application also to be filed at the counter complete with the application fee paid through Demand Draft in favor of “RIMT Gobindgarh” payable at Gobindgarh. Besides, one can also send the application through Speed Post/ Registered Post to the institute’s address. The last date for submission is end June for UG courses and mid July for PG courses This schedule is flexible and may change slightly depending on the year. - Some of the colleges accept the scores of entrance examinations such as Pharmacy Council of India ‘s Diploma in Pharmacy Entrance Test (DPAT). Pass performance in such examination may be considered for admission.
- There are some colleges which have direct admission from the 10+2 level for specific entrance exams in relevant subjects, usually on the basis of merit list. Cut-off percentages are announced.
- Interviews, academic record, school/college achievements and other such things may also be part of the evaluation criteria.
- Go to the homepage of the institute and navigate to the page that lists admission details. This should contain information on the various things such as the requirements for participating in the grant, how to apply, when to apply, among other things.
- Today, most institutes have an online application form that students must complete and send along with scanned copies of the documents. There may also be an application fee which varies from one institution to the other.
- The documents required normally includes 10th and 12th standard pass certificate, birth certificate, domicile certificate etc. The list may vary from institute to institute.
- Be prepared to take an entrance test which may be set by the institute or may be any state or national level test as the case maybe.
- Make sure that you adhere to the requirements that the institute has laid down regarding minimum requirement of academic accomplishments, age, percentage scores in previous exams etc.
