Sankalchand Patel University (SPU) is a university in Visnagar, Gujarat state of India, established in 2004. SPU was set up in 2017 and accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and acknowledged by the Government of Gujarat. The university has had a successful accreditation process and has been accredited to Grade A by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). According to the NIRF rankings 2023 that were recently released, Sankalchand Patel University has been placed at 65th position among all private colleges in the country.
It boasts of a broad-based curriculum of programs that it delivers to students at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies levels. The courses popular for in SPU includes B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, BA, B.Com, B.Sc. such as BBA-MBA and other integrated courses. The admission to these programmes is generally through Entrance Examinations held at National or State level, and Counselling sessions. The last qualifying examination is also incorporated in SPU for the purpose of giving merit-based admissions. Sankalchand Patel University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Candidate must have passed standard 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 45% marks for general category and 40% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category candidates in any stream.
2. In some of the courses, there is also an entrance examination conducted by the university that one has to pass for him/her to be considered for admission.
3. There are certain norms with regards to age limits and as such, there may be restrictions on the age limit for some of the courses.
4. Migrated certificate required in case of students from other boards/universities.
5. However, there may be other qualifying conditions like class XII percentage or marks for admission in courses such as LLB, MBA, MCA.
6. Though number of attempts, physical fitness certificates etc are not mandatory for general courses but they may be needed for certain professional courses.
