Sardar Bhagwan Singh University in Dehradun has courses in undergraduate and post graduate levels in the faculty of science, commerce, arts, law, education and other disciplines of study. For B.Tech in computer science, information technology; mechanical and many more, the candidate must have passed 12th standard with physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects with 50% of marks from a recognized board. Among qualifying exams accepted, CBSE, ICSE or state boards are allowed. For the BA and MA courses in subjects such as economics, English, sociology, psychology the minimum requirements include 50 percent in 12th standard from any stream.
They have full-time campus programs such as BBA, BCA, BA LLB, B.Ed, MBA, MCA, MA English. For the academic year of 2024-25, the admission process will start in the month of May, 2023. It includes online registration & application, submitting relevant documents, examination if required & selection through merit. The programs are presented in semesters for 3 years for bachelors’ degrees and 2 years for masters’ ones. Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. The photo identification document such as an Aadhaar card, Voter ID Card, a valid driving license or passport which must confirm your Identity and Date of Birth.
2. Certified true copy of the Mark sheet along with certificate in support of passing the qualifying examination as prescribed for Class 10th from the respective state or national board.
3. Higher secondary certificate and marksheet attested by the respective board showing that the candidate has passed Class 12th.
4. Original documents such as transfer/migration certificate from the education board last attended to prove the exhaustion of previous term of study.
5. The passport-sized photographs affixed at the time of submission of admission forms and identity cards.
6. Any other mandatory documents such as income /domicile certificate as may be prescribed for the course you are applying for. There can be other required documents required for professional courses along with the above documents.
1. Eligibility criteria – he/she should have passed 12th standard with at least 45% marks from a recognized board.
2. Besides, you need to complete the application form and pay the application fee before the deadline in both online and offline methods. Attach necessary documents.
3. Take the college entrance test if any available for the academic year that you wish to join. The test measures arithmetic abilities, logical thinking, and verbal reasoning.
4. Check merit list when it is released to know their selection standing. In particular, merit depends on the marks scored in the 12th standard examination and entrance test results.
5. Secure admission either by paying admission and semester fees or produce an admission confirmation letter. Please attach copies of your documents together with other certificates in their original form.
6. Follow up required documents with the necessary enrollment procedures, and attend classes following the academic calendar. Students start orientation and start their classes.

4. Written test – Since SBS Dehradun, only shortlisted candidates are required to write a written exam as a part of entrance test.
