Sardar Bhagwan Singh University (SBSPU) is a private university in Balawala, Dehradun, in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It was set up in the year 2016 and is recognised and funded by UGC; it has NAAC Grade A accreditation. The NIRF Rankings for the year 2023 has recently been declared under which SBSPU has found a place in the band of 101-150 universities of India.
SBSPU provides the UG/PG/Ph.D./Diploma/MCA/MBA courses in the various fields of Engineering & Technology, Management & Commerce, Computer applications, Pharmacy & Agriculture, Basic sciences & Law, fashion & Design, Journalism & Mass communication & Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Education. At the moment, the admission process for the 2024 batch is open that is online admission test and the candidates have to score a cutoff mark that they have to obtain in certain qualifying examination.

Sardar Bhagwan Singh University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. As per the norm for UG Programs the students must have passed their 12th standard or any equivalent examination from any recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks.
2. For admission to PG programs, the candidate must have possessed a bachelor’s degree in relevant field with not less than 50% of marks.
3. For PhD Master’s degree in the respective discipline with minimum of 55% marks and having passed the necessary entrance tests required.
4. For diploma and certificate courses, 10+2 pass or equivalent qualification is necessary as per most of the course.
5. Local level reservation and relaxations in eligibility criteria with reference to the norms set by the Government for the reserved categories.
6. Other requirements including aptitude tests, interviews etc may be required for a certain programs as announced by the University.
Sardar Bhagwan Singh University Placements 2024
Sardar Bhagwan Singh University has also a fully functional placement cell which helps to get placements for the students. Some of the big companies, which take part in campus placements are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant and Accenture. The maximum salary given in the placement in the year 2024 was 18 LPA at American Express. The salary offered for freshers and experienced candidates are nearly Rs 5- 7 lakhs per annum across branches. The placement rate for students coming from Computer Science, IT, Electronics & Communication engineering branches was more than 80 % last year. Other Branches such as Mechanical, Electrical and Civil have also depicted rather high placement percentages in the range of 60-75% respectively thanks to the quality technical education offered at the university.
