Saurashtra University Rajkot Gujarat is one of the leading state university established in the year of 1967. It has been accredited by NAAC and got B++ grade and NIRF Ranking for the year 2023 ranked it between 101-150 for the entire Country. The university operates under the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Saurashtra University has several colleges that are affiliated to it and they are more than 300 of them and are spread across fields such as arts, science, commerce, engineering, education, law and several others. The university proffers undergraduate as well as postgraduate programs in different disciplines.
The university has opened the admission portal for the students to apply for different courses for the year 2024 to offer various undergraduate, postgraduate and other technical courses are BA, BCom, BSc, MA, MSc, MCom and BE/BTech, ME/MTech respectively. The entrance exams are scheduled to be held in the period May-June 2023 and the results will be announced in July 2023. The steps include registration for the exam, applying in colleges, taking the entrance tests, counselling sessions, and, finally, the admission. According to the calendar of the university academic session, examinations are usually conducted in October/November and April /May of the same year.
Saurashtra University placement report reveals that more than 500 companies had placed their offers for campus recruitment and employment opportunities such as Reliance, Adani, Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services had offered their offer for campus recruitment. Placements & Recruitment statistics of 2023 reveal that more than 75% of the eligible students got placed in the premier organizations at average annual salary packages of 3 lakhs to 12 lakhs depending upon the program of study. The maximum salary package for this course was of 25 LPA.
