National Forensic Sciences University Gandhinagar (NFSU) is one of the finest universities of India providing education in forensic science through its School of Forensic Science. It is a private university that was established in the year 2008 and provides courses for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in several fields such as forensic science, forensic psychology, forensic medicine and so on It has been graded ‘A’ by NAAC and is ranked 37 in the NIRF rankings 2023 for universities.
These programs are offered across different disciplines as BSc in Forensic Science, MSc in Forensic Science, MSc in Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, MSc in Crime Scene Investigation, and Ph.D. in Forensic Science. The admission process usually takes place in January for the next academic year starting in July. GUJCET, GPAT, UGC-NET, GATE etc are some of the national level exams along with Institute Level Test & Interview that is conducted for the admission process.
The placements in NFSU have an upward trend, and it has placed more than 85% of the students of the 2022-23 batch. IT giants like Deloitte, PwC, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Mu Sigma, IBM etc recruits students for various positions and average CTC was as high as 8 LPA. The highest domestic CTC recorded was up to 15 LPA.

Some of the significant employers in India for forensic science graduates are Central Bureau of Investigation, National Investigation Agency, Deloitte, PwC, KMPG etc. The maximum salary package offered was 18 LPA in Deloitte and the average was 7 LPA.
