Shyam University is a prestigious university that has earned Grade A+ from NAAC and stands at the 45th position as per the NIRF 2023 rankings. It is a multi-disciplinary university which is accredited to the university grants commission Uganda and acknowledged by the AICTE. The accommodating campus of 300 acres is home to more than 25,000 learners from over 220+ programs.
It provides a variety of courses including those at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels in engineering, management, sciences, humanities and law, design, agriculture, education. To join this university, students can fill the form online or offline by June 2024 for the new session. It includes national level test like JEE Main, CAT, GMAT, Admissions through Shyam University’s test and interview.

1. For undergraduate programs, the candidate should have passed the 12th standard exams from a recognized board/University in the relevant field with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
2. For postgraduate programs, the candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in the related field with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Sometimes, certain programs may require an entrance test.
3. Ph.D, postgraduate degree in the concerned field with minimum pass percentage of 55%. Must be a pass in Shyam University Entrance Test Also, must obtain a qualifying score.
4. For diploma and certification courses, one must be a 10th or 12th pass depending on the course. Some have qualifying exam scores as their prerequisites for their programs.
5. For lateral entry into engineering and technology programs, diploma in the concerned branch of engineering with not less than 50% aggregate marks.
6. The government norms may extend 5-10% relaxation in eligibility criteria to the students belonging to the ‘Reserved Category’.
Shyam University is appreciated by students, as well as parents, for having a good track record of placements. The statistics of last year also show that more than 85% of the eligible students were successfully placed in reputed companies and firms. The leading recruiting companies such as Microsoft, Google, TCS, Infosys., select the talents from the Shyam University annually. Microsoft placed the maximum number of students last year by offering job opportunities that took 22% of the total batch with a median salary of Rs. 8 lakhs per year while the highest was Rs. 15 lakhs per year.
