SSJ University Almora is affiliated to a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in sciences, commerce, arts, law, education, agriculture. For Btech programmes like computer science engineering, electrical engineering, the eligibility is passing 12th with minimum 50% aggregate marks with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as subjects. The medical and arts & commerce group programmes have pre-requisites that expects the candidates to pass 12th in respective streams with minimum aggregate percentage of between 45-50% of aggregate depending on the programme. Some of the exam accepted for admission to engineering courses are JEE Main, UPTU, UKSEE for Medical courses NEET.
At present, the university provides undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs in faculties of Agricultural, Arts, Commerce, Education, Engineering & Technology, Legal Studies, Science, Yoga & Alternative Medicine. The admission procedure for now entails filling a short online form with the necessary documents and scores of the qualifying exam. While selection to various academic programs are merit-based, especially the popular ones such as engineering and agriculture; certain other programs like MA English, MCom have another round of group discussion and personal interview.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. Documents such as Aadhar card, voter Id card or driving license to authenticate the identity and details of the candidate.
2. Passing Qualifying examination certificate and mark sheet issued by the board for Class 10 and an affidavit sworn before a notary in case where the candidate has completed his/her Class 10th.
3. Documentary proof of the candidate’s board exams pass certificate and mark sheet of class 12th.
4. Transfer certificate or the certificate from the last school or college that the student attended.
5. Passport size photographs after admission for identification and record purpose of any candidate.
6. Any other reserved category certificates such as SC/ST/OBC if to claim benefits under the reservation system.
