Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education & Research Kolar is a deemed university and provides a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different fields. Some of the department and course requirements may differ in terms of the eligibility requirements to undertake them. For all the BTech Programs in CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical, Civil engineering the candidates should have passed 12th standard or any other equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Degree courses in medical and dental fields such as MBBS, BDS for the candidates should have passed the 12th standard with 50% marks in physics, chemistry, biology and English. MBA and MCA programs are open for all graduates and there is no bar in terms of the stream they have passed or the marks they have secured with minimum of 50% marks being the norm. Eligible entrance tests are – KCET, COMEDK, NEET, GATE, MAT, CMAT etc.

Sri Devaraj URS Academy of Higher Education & Research Kolar has several courses offered for the undergraduate level students in different faculties. The BTech programs offered are in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Biotechnology and the admission requirement is passing 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. Students have to clear COMEDK or KCET with required passing marks to get admission. The BSc programs that are available are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Computer Science and eligible applicant should have passed 12th standard. Permitted entrance tests are KCET and COMEDK. The Bachelor of Arts (BA) course is a 3-year program that is offered in several subjects such as Economics, English, Kannada, Political Science, History, Journalism, Psychology. It is mandatory that the students should have passed in 12th standard as a qualifying criteria and accepted tests are KCET, COMEDK.

Sri Devaraj URS Academy of Higher Education & Research Kolar provides Ph.D. programs in Engineering, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Science and Humanities, Management Studies, and Education. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to PhD programme are at least 55% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average (CGPA) in the Post Graduate Degree. Certain departments also have eligibility conditions that entail passing national level examinations such as CSIR-UGC NET, GATE or SET. For instance to apply for PhD in departments such as Biotechnology Microbiology Physics Chemistry Pharmacy Nursing Physiotherapy Engineering, the candidates should have qualified the UGC NET, GATE or equivalent exams.
