Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences is based in Amritsar and in the Indian state of Punjab. This has a number of departments and it provides medical and health sciences programs. The College of Medicine has set a requirement of passing NEET-UG exam with at least 50% in the MBBS program that it offers. Students who wish to join BDS program in the Faculty of Dentistry must have the NEET-UG qualification. While the MD/MS programs provided through clinical departments demanded qualification of NEET-PG examination the MDS program demanded cleared NEET-MDS examination. The Department of Paramedical Institutes in their diploma courses allow admission based on the qualifying examination percentage.

SGRDUHS Amritsar has a number of undergraduate courses in various categories of medical and paramedical sciences. The MBBS program falls under the Medical faculty, which accepts NEET scores with the minimum passing criteria of 50% marks in total aggregate of Physics, Chemistry, Biology in 12th class. BDS is offered under the faculty of Dental and this also accepts NEET but with the same conditions. Admission to BPT under the faculty of physiotherapy is done directly on the basis of the scores obtained in the NEET, CG PPHT, Punjab PPHT, etc. Candidates should have minimum 45% marks in 12th. The admission process of BSc Nursing entails students scoring highly from exams such as NEET, AIIMS, JIPMER among others while the main subjects required in 12th class are Physics, Chemistry, Biology. BMLT under Medical Lab Technology faculty gives weightage on class 12th with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology as essential subjects.
The University also provides other several UG programs in its stream of study including Nursing, Medical Lab Technology, Ophthalmic Techniques, Radiography, etc.
MBBS is offered at Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences Amritsar in various specialization such as anatomy physiology, biochemistry pharmacology pathology microbiology forensic medicine, community medicine, otorhinolaryngology, ophthalmology medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, anesthesia, orthopedics, radiology, psychiatry, etc. To be qualified for admission one has to pass class 12 with the subjects Physics chemistry biology English and achieve a minimum average mark of fifty percent for general category and forty percent for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/SEBC category. Student also have to qualify other national level medical entrance examination like NEET. Some of the seats are however reserved and can be occupied by candidates who pass state level exams such as PMET.
