SVU is one of the recognized Universities in the country which was established in the year 1954 and is located in the temple city of Tirupati in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. It has been identified by University Grants Commission under 2(f) and 12(B) and has been accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC with a CGPA of 3.5 out of 4. While in the NIRF university ranking system which was released recently and is based on the current year data, SVU has been ranked in the 95th position among Universities in India.
SVU provides the courses for the under graduate, post graduate, diploma and doctorate programs in arts, science, commerce, business administrations, education, law, pharmacy and engineering. Some of the courses in the university include BA, BSc, BCom, BTech, MSc, MA, MCom Mba, MCA, LLM, etc During the examinations the university carries out semester examinations in November/December for the even semesters and April/May for the odd semesters. The admission exercise normally begins in May of each year. The courses to be offered at UG level and the admission procedure for these courses include passing in the entrance examination conducted by SVU and then counseling process But in the post graduate courses admissions are given on merit basis.
SVU has an effective placement and training center to cover campus interview drives of various leading companies such as TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, etc. In the previous year, the highest salary offered was 18 LPA and the average salary offered in the range of 4-5 LPA. More than 75% of the total students who appeared for campus interviews got selected in IT, financial services, marketing, analytics and many other segments with reputed organizations.
