Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati was established in the year 2005 and is a state university for veterinary sciences in Andhra Pradesh. SVVU was founded in the year 2005 and is affiliated to VCI and UGC and also the university is recognized by the UGC. The college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with B ++ Grade. Accordingly, in the nirf ranking 2023 of the veterinary science university, SVVU stands at the ranking of 36 in India.

1. For BVSc and AH, the candidate must have passed the 12th or any equivalent examination with physics, chemistry, Biology, and English substances and a minimum of 50% marks.
2. For the course of BTech Dairy Technology, the candidates must have passed 12th standard and have Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects along with minimum 45% marks.
3. For the MSc programs candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in the respective field with minimum 50 % marks.
4. For admission in the Masters Veterinary Science programs candidates should have BVSc and AH degree with 50% marks.
5. For the PhD programs, aspirants should have the Master’s degree in the related subject with minimum 55% marks.
