St. Edmund’s College Shillong is an autonomously administered arts and science college situated in Meghalaya, India. It was founded in 1924 and as such it is one of the oldest educational institute in the North East zone of India. It is accredited with ‘A’ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council NAAC and approved by the University Grants Commission UGC. The NIRF ranking in the year 2023 has placed St. Edmund’s at 41st position among all the colleges in India.
The college provides bachelors and masters degree in arts, science, commerce streams etc. The major courses being offered include BA, BSc, BCom, MBA, MA English, Sociology, Education among others.
St. Edmund’s has a very good track record with respect to placements and many reputed organizations such as Deloitte, Infosys, ICICI Bank recruit students from this institute. For the batch passing out in 2023, the highest salary offered was 8 LPA. 85% of the students were offered placements through the campus placement program. Among them 25 students were placed in Infosys, 18 students in TCS, 12 students in Wipro, 8 students in Dell and 6 students in Amazon.
