Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) is a deemed University for management studies located in Mumbai, India and is a part of SVKM. It was set up in the year 1981 & is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The NAAC has accredited NMIMS and graded it as an A+ with a CGPA of 3.59. As per the NIRF Rankings 2023 that were recently announced, NMIMS has been positioned 8th under the University segment.  

NMIMS conducts a number of under graduate and post graduate courses in different fields of study such as management, technology, sciences, pharmacy, architecture and commerce etc. The main courses offered include business, technology, management, design, and science, and among these are BBA, BTech, MBA, BDes, BSc among others. Admission into the school begins in January for the following academic year. NMIMS admits students based on the scores obtained in the entrance tests like CAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT for MBA admission. The deadline to register for NPAT 2024 entrance exam of NMIMS is third week of December 2023. The examination will be starting from the second week of January 2024. Surveys will be conducted in December-January, and semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions in February-March.  

The placements of NMIMS are well-recognized, companies like ICICI, Deloitte, PwC, Accenture and many such organizations take part in placements every year. More than 90 percent of MBA and PGDM batches get placed in campus recruitment with average salary packages of Rs 1200000 to 1800000 per annum. Maximum remuneration was even up to Rs 33 lakhs per annum. The most common positions that employers hired for included analytics, finance, marketing, operations, and consulting. SVKM's  Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)

1. The candidate must have a Bachelors degree from any University with not less than 50% marks in any discipline.

2. Final year graduation students can also apply, however, they will be given provisionally admission contingent upon their minimum grade in the final semester.

3. The admission tests accepted include CAT/XAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA or NPAT of SVKM’s NMIMS. Each program has its own percentile threshold.

4. The short-listed candidates are required to attend Case Discussion and Personal Interview sessions to be held by NMIMS across various centers.

5. The experience as well as the period of experience required for qualifying programs may also differ depending on the program applied for. Internship requirement for the specific program may be preferred if the candidate has prior experience in that area.

6. The final screening is done based on the student’s academic performance, their scores on the entrance exams and tests, their work experience, their performance in the CD/PI process and any other criterial that the institute may come up with.

NMIMS, a part of SVKM is a deemed-to-be University that imparts education in the fields of management, engineering, pharmacy, architecture, commerce, economics, law and science. It currently has nine school all of which are specialized in specific areas of learning.

The School of Business Management of the IGCO is the largest school offering post graduate diplomas in management, MBA programs, Executive MBAs and PG programs in major thrust areas such as business analytics, banking, capital markets and family managed business. The similar is the School of Technology Management that presents a PG and PhD in computer science and data science. UG & PG degrees are provided in various fields such as fashion, interiors and animation by the School of Design.

NMIMS of SVKM has been ranked among the best for placements in various programs in management. In total, 578 companies visited the institute for summer and final placements in 2021, while the Consulting and Product Management domains dominated the recruitment process. Prominent recruiting firms were Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Accenture Strategy, PwC, KPMG, EY, in addition to the stalwart online retail majors Flipkart, Amazon and the Tata Administrative Services. The maximum remuneration offered was up to Rs 3.2 lakhs per two months. The median salary for the batch placed for 2021-23 was Rs 22 lakhs per annum, with the highest salary going up to 32 lakhs per annum. The employment scenario was promising with 29.69 percent of the students making it through summer internships to bag PPO/PPIs.
