Swami Vivekananda University in Kolkata Established in the year 2005 present courses in the fields of arts, commerce, science, law, education, journalism and mass communication at the UG and PG levels. The admission criteria differs for different departments – For our course i.e., B.Tech one requires having passed 12th standard with physics, chemistry and mathematics with not less than 60% aggregate. The JEE Mains, WBJEE are some of the accepted exams. The university provides the programs like the BA, BCom, BSc, BEd, LLB, MA, MCom, MSc, MEd, LLM courses.
The entrance exam for the admission in the BTech, LLB, MA, MSc programs will be held in the June 2024. All programs merit list is expected to be released in the month of July 2024. Application final admission and document verification process will be conducted in the last week of July-2024. It is due to this basic fact that courses like BA, BCom, BSc have direct admission based on the score in the 12th standard.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. Identification Documents: Be sure to provide the identification proof such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, or Voter ID for confirmation regarding your eligibility and identity.
2. 10th Standard Marksheet: A candidate who has completed his/her secondary education as minimum qualification must attach the marksheet of the 10th standard exams.
3. 12th Standard Marksheet: Attach the marksheet of the 12th board examination as it is compulsory to have passed 12th standard to get admission.
4. Graduation Degree Certificate: In case of applying for postgraduate courses, graduates need to provide their graduation degree certificate for substantiate about completion of bachelors degree.
5. Caste Certificate: For SC/ST students, the cast certificate from the competent authority has to be provided to get the quota facility.
6. Migration Certificate: Original Migration certificate from the institution last attended is also required for the purpose of admission for enrolling the student.
Swami Vivekananda University Kolkata has the following departments offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Engineering department provides B.Tech program through admission test scores like JEE Main, WBJEE and GATE scores and the minimum requirement for eligibility to pass 12th standard with science group with subjects like Physics, Chemistry & Maths. The BBA program conducted under the Management department of the university allows the students to use the scores obtained in the national level management entrance tests like CAT, MAT, XAT.
There are several postgraduate courses offered in Swami Vivekananda University Kolkata offered in several fields. Some of the PG programs include MBA, M.Tech, MA, M.Sc., M. Com among others. The requirement criteria for MBA it’s graduation in any field with minimum 50% passing marks. Accepted exams include CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT. For M.Tech, B.Tech/B.E. with 50% marks in the relevant branch is required. It is desirable that candidates should have qualified the GATE Exam.
The university provides postgraduate and other odd programs in, Management, Engineering, Science, Arts, Commerce. The admission process is initiated in October of 2024 for the New batch of the July 2024. CAT exam will be held in November 2023 whereas GATE will be held in February 2024. MAT, XAT and CMAT will be conducted between November month of 2023 to February month of 2024.
1. Verify the basic requirements such as passing 12th in Science for entrance examinations required pass marks.
2. It is made through either online or offline before the application deadline by completing the application form.
3. Upload documents such as 10th/12th mark sheets, photographs to the online application form based on the guidelines provided.
4. If shortlisted, then proceed for the counseling session as per date and time given to the candidate.
5. Choose course/specialization based on merit rank and the course offered in the institution.
6. Pay fees, submit original documents which makes the admission procedures complete for the students.
7. Obtain enrolment number and ensure admission is made within the stipulated period.

2. Please find the online link for BA program application form and fill the application form online. Complete all appropriate boxes for basic personal information, school information and contact information at the end of the application.
3. Upload scanned images of the necessary documents which include passport size photographs, certificates, mark sheets etc as per the rules.
4. Pay application fees through online mode by using credit/debit card, internet banking etc.

6. Candidates are required to complete the admission process by completing formalities such as submitting original documents and fees within the specified time frame.
1. Apply online as well as offline with 10+2 marks sheet before the last date in May-June. Submit application fee.
2. Write the test for the group discussion and personal interview round if one has been selected based on merit.
3. This examination should be checked each time it is published by the university, usually in the month of July.
4. Make the fees payment and submit documents for validation after which students are fully admitted before the last admission date in August.
5. Some of the basic formalities that one has to go through include getting the ID card, formality of course registration among others.
6. As stated, attend the orientation program and join completion of first semester BBA classes as per timetable provided.
