Symbiosis International University is a private university with numerous institutes and campuses in Pune, India. The university is relatively young as it was founded in 2002 and is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) have accredited SIU and has provided an accreditation grade of ‘A’ for the period of five years, from the year 2021-2026. In the NIRF rankings of 2023, SIU has scored remarkably by ranking 41st among all the universities in the country.
It delivers a vast array of Undergraduate, Post graduate and PhD programs in various faculties of Management, Law, Engineering, Applied sciences, Health sciences, Media and Communication, Computer Studies etc. The university offers some of its major programs in BBA, BCA, B.Design, BA, MA, MBA, M.Tech, MSc, MCA and integrated programs like BBA,LLB. Intake for various programmes is done in January of every year by following the process of application for admission. 1. Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 50 % of marks in aggregate for the admission in undergraduate programs.
2. Pass in the Bachelor’s degree of a University or other recognized University with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate of the constituent subjects for the purpose of admission to postgraduate programs.
3. Grad school may require certain types of experience in addition to work experience particularly for postgraduate programs.
4. For Ph.D, the candidate must hold a master’s degree with at least 55% marks and the candidate must have valid test scores in SET/NET/GATE.
5. International students must meet the same academic requirements as domestic students and also need to provide the results of an English test.
6. There may be some other requirements such as personal interviews, statement about the purpose and motivation of the study, letters of recommendation which are stated in the program’s requirements.
