The Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS) located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu has many departments in its affiliated colleges, which impart Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs. Some of the major departments of the college are veterinary and Animal Science, Food Science and Technology, Dairy science, Poultry Science, Basic Science and Animal Husbandry. The criteria may also differ according to the program that is in offered in school. As for the eligibility criteria of the BVSc & AH program, the candidates shall pass class XII with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and have an average of 50% marks for the qualifying examination. Accepted entrance exam are NEET, TANUVAS Entrance Exam and Joint Entrance Exam Mains. Similar to MSc Animal Biotechnology, other MSc courses also allow students who have cleared BSc and secured not less than 55% aggregate. Applicants also must meet the cut off score for TANUVAS’s common entrance test that offers a competitive score.

2. 10th standard mark sheet and passing certificate of recognized education board as per the date mentioned by him.
3. Standard twelfth mark sheet and passing certificate from a board of secondary education showing the subjects taken.
4. Certificate in the prescribed format by the competent revenue authority not below the rank of Tahsildar in respect of SC/ST candidates.
5. School leaving certificate or transfer certificate from the school most recently attended by the student.
6. Recent passport size colour photographs and application form as available on the university website completed and along with payment proof of the Application Fees.
1. Review the entry requirements for the course and category such as academic credentials, age which are spelled out on the university’s website or in the prospectus.
2. Submit the application form with all required documents either online or offline as mentioned in the notification that is called after the last date of form submission along with the payment of the application fee.
3. Satisfy the entrance examination if any applicable to the program or the merit list is prepared based on the qualifying examination for admission purpose.
4. If selected in the merit list, attend counseling as per their schedule and select the course and the college according to the student’s rank, preference and college availability.
5. Finalize the admissions process after the seat distribution by making the payment of the fees and submitting other necessary documents for the admission process.
6. Attend the allotted TANUVAS college on the specified date and time to register and begin the program.
1. Visit its official website or the college campus to fill an online or offline form for admission to the B.Tech program in TANUVAS Chennai for four years and to apply for it before the last date definitely fulfilling all its eligibility norms.
2. Sit and pass the common entrance test announced by TANUVAS that is used to select and admit students for counseling sessions.
3. It is advised to go to counseling according to your rank and option of preference of campus/degree programs for getting provisional allotment.
4. In the case where one is assigned a seat, ensure to submit documents and complete payment for the required fees, within the required time.
5. Receive the last distribution of seat/degree program according to the merit and the order of preference and availability.
6. After enrolling for admission, go for class registration and complete the eight semester B.Tech course in disciplines such as Veterinary Biotechnology, Food Technology and etc. as offered at Chennai campus.
