For B.Ed the eligibility criteria is that the candidate must have completed their Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks while for M.Ed the candidate must have completed B.Ed with a minimum pass percentage of 55%. B.P.Ed calls for 50 percent in a twelfth grade while M.P.Ed calls for a B.P.Ed diploma with fifty five percent. Latter’s include the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), West Bengal College Service Commission and Universities examinations.

The B.Sc, courses from the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Physiology and Geography also need 10+2 qualification in science streams. All departments admit students based on marks obtained in the national level examinations such as CBSE/WBCHSE and lateral entry through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination.

The major examinations accepted include UGC NET in Education, Physical Education, Arts, Home Science, and Management disciplines. Some of the other exams which are considered are West Bengal SET, UGC CSIR NET, ICMR, ICAR and GATE.
