Usha Martin University is an un-aided private University established in the state of Jharkhand, Ranchi. It was founded in the same year and accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). This university was accredited grade ‘A’ under NAAC and ranked at #151-200 in India by NIRF 2023. The university provides diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in a range of faculties such as engineering, management, commerce, humanities.
The university provides several bachelors and masters programs in engineering disciplines such as CSE, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil with other courses like BBA, BCA, BA, B.Com, MBA, MCA. The admission procedure involves, Writing and appearing for national or state level entrance exams and then going through the counselling sessions conducted by the university. Usha Martin University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. For undergraduate programs, the candidate must have passed 10+2 in a particular stream with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the respective stream from any recognized board.
2. For postgraduate programs, the candidate should have a minimum of 50% marks in their bachelor’s degree program (45% for SC/ST) from a recognized university.
3. For Lecturer Scales 1 & 2, postgraduate degree with relevant subject with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) in relevant subject. It may be necessary to pass the exam that determines the level of training.
4. For diploma programs: passed 10+2 in any stream in any recognized board or its equivalent. These comprises; The pass rates differ with the various programs offered.
5. Sometimes there are other requirements that are considered before giving out admissions to certain programmes for instance BEd which involves passing an entrance test.
6. Cutoff marks for the BC, SC and ST students lower than the general students as per the rules of the government. This may also include age and domicile eligibility for some of the programs offered in the universities.
