Uttarakhand Ayurved University (UAU), Dehradun has introduced different Ayurved courses in its curriculum in different streams. The BAMS course is spread across various Departments such as Rog Nidan evum Vikriti Vigyan, Rachna Sharir, Kriya Sharir,Dravya Guna Vigyan, etc. The admission criteria for the BAMS course is clearing the 12th standard with 50% or above in Physics, Chemistry & Biology. CBSE, ICSE, etc are accepted qualifying exams for admission Application for MD/MS (Ayurveda) are invited in over 20different specializations including Kayachikitsa, Panchkarma, Dravya Guna Vigyan, etc for various departments. The candidate who seeks admission to MD/MS courses must possess BAMS degree with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university. M.Sc courses such as M.Sc Medical Plants, MSc Health Care Management in Ayurveda and certificate courses like CCC in Numerology are also provided by UAU.
The university has numerous diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate level course in different streams in Ayurveda. These include the Undergraduate course BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, Post Graduate MD/MS Ayurveda and the Super Speciality courses.
The admission process for students aspiring to join under graduate and post graduate courses which are taught in the uttrakhand ayurved university in dehradun are available both online as well as offline.
For online application, the candidates have to access the official website of the University of Aurangabad at uau.ac.in and then navigate through to the ‘Admissions’ tab. They have to choose the course of their preference, get themselves and their documents registered on the portal, give requisite information, upload the scanned copies of the documents, pay the applicable application fees and then submit the application form.

The Dehradun based Uttarakhand Ayurved University is another college that provides Under Graduate level programs in various faculties such as Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Medical Lab Technology, Pharmacy and so on. For the BAMS course, the candidates need to clear their class Twelfth examination with minimum 50% marks in the multipurpose subjects from any recognized board of education. The candidates, pursuing any stream of education, say Science, Arts or Commerce, are eligible for the admission. It should also be noted that the following qualifying examinations are accepted CBSE, ICSE, State Boards. The BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences) also has similar eligibility with minimum 50% marks is mandatory in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the 12th class. The BMLT (Bachelor of Medical Lab Technology) has admission standard as Science stream with preferences in subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology in 12th standard. Inclusion criterion of the candidates is that one should have passed the examination with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
BHMS programs are offered at Uttarakhand Ayurved University in Dehradun within different departments, such as Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine), Shalya Tantra (Surgery), Shalakya Tantra (ENT, Eye, Dentistry), Prasuti Tantra (Obstetrics and Gyneaecology), Kaumarbhritya (Pediatrics), Panchakarma, Agad Tantra (Toxicology). The admission requirement for these BHMS programs differ with the departments offering them but in general, admission to these programs requires one to have passed 10+2 board examinations with a least 50% aggregate marks along with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology. This means that one has to sit and pass entrance examination such as NEET, AIAPGET, Bihar UGMAC, UPUMEET, CEE Kerala among others as on the advice of UAU.
