The West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS) situated at Kolkata, West Bengal is a state university offering education, research and extension in veterinary and animal sciences, dairy technology, fishery science and other related disciplines. The university provides undergraduate and postgraduate as well as doctoral studies in different fields of study. The major recruiting companies are Amul, Mother Dairy, Venkateshwara Hatcheries, Suguna Foods, Provimi Animal Nutrition, Zoetis India and so on More than 80% of the graduating students got placement in jobs and internships in 2023. The initial salary offered at this company oscillated between INR 3–5 LPA in the form of salary packages.
