WUD Sonepat is among the private institutions in the country which aims to deliver programs in different fields of arts and design at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The major centers of learning at WUD Sonepat are Fashion Design, Product design, Transport design, Interior design, Communication design, Architecture & planning, Design Management and Liberal arts.
The eligibility is also determined by departments; this is because it may have different measures across departments. For B.Des programs, the candidates should have 12th or equivalent qualifying examination with an aggregate of 50% marks in any stream. It has admission facilities for the national level design aptitude tests such as NID/NIFT, WUDDAT from the university itself. Candidates should have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry & Maths for B.Arch and the minimum percentage required for it is 50%. They use the scores in NATA Admission test to admit students into the program. For admission in M.Des, One must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in design or any of the equivalent fields with minimum 50% marks. M.Plan requires B.Arch/B.Planning degree. The PG programs admit students based on scores secured in national exams such as CEED/GPAT, or the university’s own PGEE.
These streams are available at WUD Sonepat: B.Des, M.Des, B.Arch, B.Planning, M.Planning, BBA, BFA and so on. The application process begins during the year end, precisely in December of each calendar year. Aptitude tests on designs are held during February to April whereas university examinations take place in May to June. The steps include registration, taking some entrance tests, undertaking situation test/interview, announcement of merit list and finally, admission. It has three semesters in an academic session and the session starts from the month of August. Choose the necessary program, complete the application questionnaire and provide the additional documents according to the instructions. In case of payment towards the application fee, do it through credit/debit card, net banking, etc.
For offline admission, the application form and the prospectus can be collected from the university’s admission office either directly or by taking the help of post. Appendix E The completed form should be accompanied with attested copies of documents and the application fee in the form of a demand draft to be sent to the university address before the last date.
- Admission process of B.Arch is usually through gateway of national or state level entrance test. The commonly featured tests are the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA), Joint Entrance Examination Main Paper 2, and regional tests held in Delhi, Haryana, and other states.

You also need to have cleared the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) examination also known as NATA 2018.
3. Documents Required: In addition to the filled in application form, many documents including attested copy of 10th and 12th marks sheet, NATA score card, 2 passport size photographs, etc as mentioned in the admission brochure are required.
4. Selection Process: The candidates who applied for the above positions will be required to present their portfolio and face an interview. The shortlist for the final selection will be prepared based on the academic performance; NATA scores, portfolio and interview.
5. Application Deadline: The closing date for submissions of B.Arch forms are normally in July/August for the August academic year. It is advisable to check this with the university’s website prior to applying.
6. Tuition Fees: The fees for the whole B.Arch course which spans 5 years is about 8 to 10 lakhs INR.
