WUD-World University of Design is an emerging center for pursuing design education at different levels in India. Sanctioned in 2018, WUD is a pioneer of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral educational programs in a number of design fields. This is accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and listed by the Government of India. This institution has been accredited with Grade A by NAAC in 2023 and well known for their quality education. It is also placed 501-550 under the University category in NIRF India Rankings 2023.
WUD provides various design courses such as Industrial Design, Communication Design, Fashion Design, Product Design, Transportation Design, Animation Game Design, Film Video Design, Built Environment Space Design, Design Management, etc for the batch of 2024, the students have to pass the WUD Entrance Test 2024, and Studio Test. The entrance test date is April 12, 2024 and it has not mentioned the date for the studio test but the dates will be available on the website. Other options also exist at the national level design entrance examination like NID/NIFT/UCEED for the seats.
WUD has observed great placement for its students in the past years with great package offers to the students. Major recruiters are Accenure, Asian Paints, Decathlon, Samsung, Hero Motocorp, Volvo Cars, etc Over 80 companies take part in campus placements every year. The biggest offer for the summer of 2023 was 42 LPA and the median offer was at 7.5 LPA. More than 90% of the eligible students got selected in reputed organization in design, management, IT, core engineering and many other fields of areas etc., The consistent healthy placement trend proves the employability standards of the WUD students.

WUD aims to foster new generation of designers and creative leaders by providing undergraduate and postgraduate programs in fashion, product, interior design, jewelry, graphic, animation, film & visual arts. WUD nurtures a multi-disciplinary approach with focus on research, industrial relevance, and application-oriented learning.
WUD takes 3-4 years to complete a bachelor’s program, 2 years for master’s program while the doctoral degrees may take 3- 5 years. Short term certificate programs are also provided in some disciplines, however, these types of programs are not common.

World University of Design Placements 2024
The World University of Design boasts of a good placement rate among its graduates.. Every year, more than 90 percent of students get the placement in premier organizations. Prominent employers are Microsoft Corporation, Google, Flipkart, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Samsung Electronics, Sony Corporation, and IBM etc. The maximum salary package of 32 lakhs per annum was offered by Microsoft organization. The estimated salary offered by companies hovers at 7.8 lakhs per annum all through the branches with CSE students grabbing the highest salary packages. The university maintains a healthy corporate connection and has affiliations with more than 500 companies that often organize placement drives on the campus. This means that the courses offered at WUD are skill-based and industry-related, making employers open their doors to give employment to students upon graduation.
