The Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) is one of the famous universities of Maharashtra and situated at Nashik of Maharashtra. It is one of the largest open universities in the state catering to the needs of the people in the Maharashtra established in July, 1989. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India and it was accredited by National Association for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NAAC) in 2023 with B++ grade. Overall, according to the NIRF Rankings 2023, it stands 101 among universities in India.
It has a large number of programs in all disciplines offered at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels through both regular and distance education. This university offers a variety of programs for students, which include the undergraduate programs BA, BCom, BSc, the postgraduate programs MA, MCom, MSc, MBA, MCA, and the doctoral program PhD. Admission for the July 2024 session will be made in March 2024. Competitive entrance tests will be conducted in May 2024 for admission to the various courses like MBA, MCA etc.
YCMOU has tied up with various national level corporates and organisations to offer employable knowledge & service to students and successful placement assurance. The major recruiters are ITC, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Tech Mahindra, and HDFC bank. On-campus placement drives are conducted every year and our students get selected through it. It is a great achievement of the college that in the academic year 2023, more than 1200 students got placed in different organizations with a maximum salary package of 12 LPA.

Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU), Nashik has good placement cell for getting employment in different organizations for its students. There are several renowned organizations that recruit students through the placement drives such as Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and Accenture. In the placement drive of 2022-23 the maximum salary package offered was 8 LPA by the Tata Consultancy Services. These included satisfaction level, average salary package that was between 4-6 LPA. About 60-70% of the eligible campus aspirants got employed through campus interviews in fields like IT services, Banks and Financial Institutions, and Insurance companies.
