Holy Cross College Agartala is fairly spread out with programs offered in the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the course streams of arts, science, commerce, law, education etc. The requirements for the programs are different for different courses. For BA courses like Economics, English, Education etc one has to pass plus two in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks. For BSc one could be through CBSE/ICSE/HS and minimum 60% in 12th S. For BSc courses like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics one can pass 12th Science with minimum 60% marks. Eligible boards of examination are CBSE, ISC etc. For BCom, pass in commerce stream with 50% aggregate in 11th and 12th. Admissions are made under 50% BBA for students pursuing 10+2 from any stream. 5 year integrated LLB program requires 45% aggregate in 12th from any recognized board. 

The mainstream courses that are offered in almost all the streams are BA, BSC. BCom BBA, integrated LLB, BEd and MA, MSc Mcom etc. The major examination for 2024 admission is in the month of May 2023 and the results will be out in June 2023. Entrance test would be taken place and after the completion of the entrance exam results admission process would be commenced. The college requires candidates to pass through an entrance examination before admission. Video ranking and seat availability: For the initial shortlisting, scores and seat availability is considered. Then the students are supposed to report to the counselling session where the documentations are verified, filling of choices and finally, admission is offered subject to merit, preference and reservation norms of the state. Students join at the beginning of the 3rd week in July of every year.

Holy Cross College Agartala is one of the best colleges in Tripura that offers UG and PG courses in three main streams of Arts, Science & Commerce. The main departments in the college are ‘Economics’, ‘English’, ‘Education’, ‘Physics’, ‘Chemistry’, ‘Mathematics’, ‘Botany’, ‘Zoology’, ‘Political Science’, ‘History’, ‘Philosophy’, ‘Commerce’ and ‘Management’. The criteria for determination of eligibility also vary from one department to another – for BA courses; one must have higher secondary pass in the relevant stream with 50% aggregate marks. BSc courses have made it mandatory for science stream students in class 12th to fetch minimum 50% marks in their science stream. BCom and management courses offer admission directly from class 12th with any stream and 50% marks in the exams. The available qualifying exams for admission across departments are Grade 12 at HS (+2 stage), CBSE, CISCE, other State Boards.
