The Madhav Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh is one of the large Institutes providing various undergraduate and postgraduate courses spanning over different fields. The eligibility of groups to be interviewed also differs from department to department. As per the norms, the candidates seeking admissions have to have passed 12th standard with physics chemistry and maths and should have secured at least 60% aggregate marks to be considered for engineering disciplines like Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Electrical. They for example include Joint Entrance Examination Mains, Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, and Madhya Pradesh Professional Entrance Test. For the program under the School of Commerce like BCom, BBA, BCA the candidate should have minimum 50% marks in the 12th. MITS Gwalior B.Tech Selection Criteria

- The admission process is merit-based; applicants must have taken any of the engineering entrance exams including JEE Main, MP PET or CET. Students can choose any of these channels to apply through.

- For candidates who qualified JEE MAIN, admission to B.Tech. programs shall be strictly on the basis of ranks obtained in JEE MAIN and in the counselling conducted as per the schedule.

- For the candidates who have qualified MP PET, the scores and ranks achieved in MP PET exam will be taken into consideration, and if the candidate gets selected then he/she has to go through counselling conducted at state level.

- For CET qualified candidates, the admission will be as per the CET score obtained by the candidate and the rank secured by him/her and through centralized state level counselling.

- In counselling, the candidates make their choices of branch of study and will be given seats according to their ranks obtained in the entrance test, availability of seats, and the category of the candidate if any as per the rule of reservation. 

MITS Gwalior B.Tech How To Apply?

1. Last, visit their website at mitsgwalior.in and look for the admissions link. Go to the section of B.Tech and click on online application link download.

2. Go to the site and register to get access to the personal account, and then fill in the application form with your personal and academic data, contact information.

3. Upload the scanned images of some relevant documents like passport photos/signatures/10th and 12th mark sheets etc. 

4. Application fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card or direct net banking. 

5. To be able to save and submit the form, it is necessary to see all the details filled in the form. Print a copy of the final submitted application form by downloading it from the online application system.

MITS Gwalior M.Tech Selection Criteria

1. It is essential for the candidates to have a B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST Categories) in aggregate for all the Semesters/years. 

2. The candidate is selected from the different categories based on the GATE score that the candidate has achieved. Only candidates, for the programme, who possess a valid GATE score equal to or greater than the cut-off score set by the institute will be considered for admission.

3. If qualified candidates are not available in any discipline then, direct admission is made for candidates on merit basis for non-GATE candidates. These candidates are admitted depending on their performance in the written test, as well as interview conducted by MITS Gwalior. 

4. Candidates sponsored from public sector undertakings, government departments, etc. may be considered for admission based on their relevant work experience and the performance during the selection process.

MITS Gwalior ME Selection Criteria

- It is quite clear that selection is done based on the valid score that one gets in the GATE examination. The eligibility criteria for the candidates include having achieved a minimum of 60% marks (for SC/ST candidates 55%) in their BTech/BE degree.

- It provides admission in different fields such as civil engineering, Computer science & engineering, Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering and so on.

- They are selected on the basis of GATE score card, marks in academics, performance in interview and availability of seats. To SC, ST, OBC, PwD students, some quota of seats are provided according to government norms.

- Still in certain departments, there may also be a written test that will be given before the interviews. Candidates short-listed have to appear for interview from the respective departments in the Institute.

- The final list of selected candidates and the merit list is prepared out of 100 marks where, Valid and Normalised marks of GATE = 70 marks and Written test/ Interview = 30 marks.

- Candidates considered under sponsored category are those who are sponsored by the public sector undertakings or government organizations; they must produce a sponsorship certificate at the time of admission.

- More preference is provided for those candidates who may have experience in some reputed industries or organizations if all other things are equal between two candidates.
