Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET) is an engineering and technology institute located in Greater Noida and it provides different engineering and technology courses in several departments. Computer Science department provides Under graduate program in B.Tech Computer Science and for the admission requirement they accept JEE Main/UPSEE, direct admission. The eligibility criteria are 12th pass with PCM having at least 50% marks in aggregate. The Electronics and Communications department offers B.Tech Electronics and Communication the admission criteria of which include the JEE Main score and UPSEE score. Candidates must have passed 12th in physics, chemistry and mathematics with 60% marks.
B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics is offered under the Electrical and Electronics Engineering department and admissions are done on the basis of UPSEE. Candidates who want to apply for the post should have passed 12th standard with minimum % age 55% with subject combinations: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. In the same way, IT, Civil Engineering & Mechanical Engineering department provide B.Tech programs which accepts national & state entrance exam. It is similar to eligibility criteria that are uniform across the departments but with slight variations on the minimum PCM percentage that should be obtained in the 12th standard.
The Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET) in Greater Noida was established in 2001 and provides engineering and technology courses including undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The interested candidates who wish to take admission in NIET can fill the application form online through the official website of NIET by visiting www.niet.ac.in or they can also take the application form in person from NIET admission office.
The admission process for NIET is quite simple and can be done online as follows; The first step is to create an account on the website by providing some basic details such as name, E-mail ID, contact number, etc The next step is to select the desired program and fill the application form by uploading scanned documents such as photographs and academic certificates as well as by remitting the application fee online. For offline applications, you have to complete the application form, attach self-attested copies of the documents and submit the fee by DD or cash in the institute.
- This is achieved through its performance in the JEE Main examination through which admissions are offered. JEE Main score is mandatory to apply for admission in the college Candidate must have a valid JEE Main score.
- For the UG admissions 85% of the total number of seats are allotted on the basis of the rank of JEE Main while rest 15% of the total number of seats are filled on the basis of the state level examination like UPSEE.
- Thus, for the 85% seats, admissions are given depending on the ranks and scores in JEE Main. Relevant cutoff ranks are published to let applicants know the rank acceptable to apply.
- For the remaining 15% state level SESEE quota seats, the admissions are given according to the merit list obtained in UPSEE. Rank lists are also cutoff for these also.
- In addition to the criteria set in JEE Main/ UPSEE, the candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria set by NIET that requires the candidate to have passed their 10 + 2 or equivalent examination from any recognized central or state board of education with the minimum aggregate percentage in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
- There are different cutoffs and rankings of colleges for the particular categories such as supernumerary seats for boys/girls, TFW seats, defence/PMSSS seats etc.
- There are some other formalities as document verification, fee payment and final branch and seat allotment which the selected candidates have to follow.
1. Registration: In order to create a new user account, please navigate to the official website of the service and look for the ‘New Registration’ link/button. You should come up with your login details and enroll for the services of the particular portal.
2. Fill Application Form: To complete the NIET application form is quite simple; log in and complete the form to the best of your abilities. Ensure to give both personal details, academic information and contact information correctly.
3. Upload Documents: Upload scanned photos and documents such as passport photo, signature, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, and Aadhar card in a specified format.
4. Application Fee Payment: Submit the application fee through net banking, credit card payment, UPI or any other online payment method.
5. Print Application: Save the completed form for future reference by previewing and printing of the application form.
6. Exam Registration: Finally, apply for the exam which is conducted by the university named Uttar Pradesh Technical University or known by its new name as AKTU has is named UPSEE. While applying for UPSEE fill the college code of NIET as mentioned above.
7. Counselling & Admissions: In case you get selected for the counselling rounds, kindly proceed as per the timing mentioned. This includes ensuring the meet basic requirements for admission in NIET Greater Noida BTech programs and minimum academic standard.
8. Confirm Admission: Pay an admission fee and submit the originals of documents to confirm your admission to the B.Tech program at NIET Greater Noida.
- They are also subjected to general admission requirements of AKTU university, for instance, the results of their UPSEE combined with other requirements such as the marks they obtained in their high school final exams.
- Like other engineering colleges, NIET Greater Noida also bases its admission on the score achieved in the JEE Main. Therefore, based on the requirements to be eligible for JEE Main, the ranks are higher when compared to UPSEE.
- Lateral entry at the second level is also provided directly based on percentage in the diploma for diploma students.

3. Here you will be able to locate the given online application form for B.Tech. If you are interested in a position, please, click ‘Apply Now’ to begin with the job aplication.
4. Capture the account details by entering the basic information about your profile and ID proof details.
5. You have to start by logging in to the portal and then completing your entire application form with the correct information.
6. Upload scanned copy of class 10 and 12 mark sheets along with photograph and signature as per the guidelines.
7. Online click on the link given for payment of application fee through credit/debit cards/Net Banking.
8. You can now download the form and keep the copy for future use.
9. If shortlisted for the respective category, you will be required to attend the NIET-GET entrance test and then the counseling session for the final selection.
