Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology, also known as PIET is a private institute which came into existence in the year 1996 and is located in Samalkha, Panipat, Haryana. PIET was established in the year 1998 and it is only college affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, approved by AICTE. It has been accredited with NAAC Grade A which shows that the infrastructural facilities and education standards of the college are very high. In the NIRF Rankings 2023 that were recently released, PIET has been placed at the 151st position among all engineering institutions across the country.

Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
1. Specifically for the BTech program, candidates must have completed 10+2 or equivalent in PCM/PCB with a minimum 60 % aggregate and should have JEE Main rank.
2. In MTech programs, applicants must possess a BE/BTech degree in the required branch with minimum 60% marks. The candidates possessing GATE qualification are always preferable.
3. For MCA program, candidates should have passed their Bachelor’s degree examination with not less than sixty percent marks in aggregate of all the years/semesters with Mathematics at +2 level. Candidates who are qualified in NIMCET are usually given priority.
4. For MBA program, the candidates must have passed the bachelor’s degree in any field from any recognized university with minimum 60% marks. The applicants who qualify CAT/MAT are preferred, it has been seen that many entrance exams are organized to get admission in the management courses.
5. For doing PhD, the candidates need to pass ME/MTech in the specific field of specialization with minimum 60% marks. GATE/NET qualification is compulsory.
6. For diploma holder, the candidate must have passed 10th examination at least with 45% average marks in science and math subjects. For those who possess a diploma, there is the opportunity to join laterally.
