Sri Venkateswara College is a College in the University of Delhi situated in the South Campus at New Delhi provides Under Graduate Programmes in the faculties of Science, Arts, Commerce & Social Science Streams. As for the eligibility criteria, I have come across some departments where they differ. For instance, the BSc courses in physics, chemistry, botany, zoology, mathematics etc enlist certain conditions that the students must meet to be admitted into the university: science students must have passed class 12th with minimum 55% aggregate marks in PCM subjects for science students or 55% in relevant four subjects for humanities/commerce students. Accepted boards are CBSE, ISCE as well as the State Boards. To get the BA (Hons) in subjects as economics, english, political science or BCom (Hons), the candidate must secure 55% aggregate in class 12th. Other exams that help open the avenues for admissions include JEE Main, CUET, CLAT, LSAT and the like along with merit based direct admission through class twelfth .
The admission process: First, students submit their data through the university portal in March of the academic year 2024. As for the CUET, LSAT, CLAT and similar tests, the examination will be held from April to June next year. Among the following : department wise group discussions, personal Interviews will take place between June – July before the first admission list is released by end of July. In general, admission process is fully completed by mid August every year. This schedule will apply to all the streams like sciences, humanities, social sciences, languages, life sciences, commerce, maths, etc., and their subjects for the academic year 2024-25.

- The second criterion is the DUET score As mentioned, the candidate has to fulfill the cut-off marks for the college and the respective M.Sc specializations offered at the college. This cut-off is worked based on the percentage scored in the qualifying exam.

Regarding the proportionate number of seats for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates, it is also important to note the rules of Delhi University for these categories of students.
- It’s open for some programmes such as M.Sc Mathematics and Statistics, which has the option of direct merit in the qualifying examination for admission other than writing an entrance examination. It is important to mention that cut-off percentages are higher for these programs.
