Women’s College is one of the most leading undergraduate women’s college in Agartala , Tripura. It was established in the year 1970 and today it received the UGC recognition accompanied by an ‘A’ grade from NAAC with 3.11 CGPA. According to NIRF ranking 2023 of Women’s College is at 65 in overall ranking of colleges across the country.
This college is also an undergraduate college affiliated under Arts, Science and Commerce stream. Arts stream involves the teaching of English, Bengali, Sanskrit, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Education etc. The Science stream allows the students to take subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, and Physiology. Accounting, Business Studies, Economics and Finance are among the subjects offered under commerce stream. The student’s places are allocated according to performance of the Higher Secondary examination. Admission process begins in the month of May every year and the university organizes examinations for the students as per the Tripura University’s examination schedule for odd semesters in November and for even semesters in April.

1. English Department: He/She should have passed 10+2 examination and obtained percentage above 80 in English subject. This a good idea is good because it should help the learner to demonstrate good writing and analytical skills as they are writing entrance exam essays. Conversational skills and familiarity with literature prevalent.
2. Computer Science Department: Candidate must have passed in 10+2 examination in any stream with not less than 60% of marks. Reasoning ability and analytical skills required as verified by coding and puzzle solving abilities followed by interviews. Basic programming knowledge advantageous.
3. Commerce & Finance Department: There is a option for 10+2 in commerce stream with minimum 75% marks are desirable. Accounting, economics and business studies were his strong areas. Quantitative aptitude and business awareness assessment test shall be taken for admission in the Institute.
4. Arts & Humanities Department: The minimum educational qualification required for this course is 10+2 in any stream along with having at least 60% aggregate marks.
