BBA in Media Management is an undergraduate program of three years’ duration which prepares the students in the field of media and entertainment industry including print media, television, radio, new media, music, films, animation, etc. The course acquaints the students with the media environment and business, content generation, production and delivery, media advertisement, public relations and media and communication strategy. Some of the focus areas include Media Management, Content Development, Understanding the Target Group, Media Promotion Campaigns, New Media Marketing, Interpersonal and Public Communications, Laws and Ethics in the Media among others.
The program admits students through merit list arrived by adding scores obtained in entrance tests held at national or at university level. Some of the major competitive exams are CAT, MAT, XAT at national level & University level exam like BHU-MET, SET, NMAT by GP, IPU-CET, GGSIPU CET. Most of the colleges also take into account the results of class 12 boards as well as some of them have their own entrance test for providing the admissions into the BBA Media Management program which is spread through 6 semesters.
