BBA in Sports Management is an undergraduate degree program that emphasizes on the management and business of sports. This is a full time 3-year program that offers education in fields such as sports marketing, event management, legal aspects of sports and ethics, finance, sponsorship, and statistics. Students achieve an insight about the sports industry – about the functioning of sports organisations and related businesses, its functioning in producing revenues through events, advertising and sponsorships, management of athletes and marketing rights, compliance with legalities etc Internship and live projects are conducted to have a practical exposure.
Some of the entrance tests that are accepted for the admission to BBA Sports Management courses are – CAT, MAT, XAT, ATMA, CMAT, GUJCET, OJEE, KIITEE etc However, apart from these tests that are being conducted at the national level at some of the leading B-schools, there are many colleges and Universities who conduct their own examinations to shortlist students. This is due to the entrance test, previous academic performance in the board exams, interview etc Duration of experience in the sports related job may give an added advantage in getting admission to such specialized courses.
