Agricultural Engineering Diploma- Polytechnic is a course that takes three years to complete and aims at applying engineering principles in the field of agriculture. Pupils gain knowledge on farm power and machinery, soil and water conservation engineering, irrigation and drainage engineering, post harvest operations and structures. Some of the significant theoretical subjects are general engineering courses, agricultural science and other subjects, drawing and shop courses, and several hours of practical training. 

The diploma programs in engineering which is offered by different polytechnic institutes of the country involve the scores of National and state level entrance examinations for the admission. The main exams include JEE Main, Some state level Polytechnic CET and AIPET conducted by CBSE, PAT conducted by Technical Education Board and some other institutes allow direct admission from class 10th & 12th. The minimum qualification for most diploma programs is at the 10+2 level with the sciences like physics, chemistry and mathematics.

Diploma in Engineering (Polytechnic) (Agricultural Engineering) Course Eligibility

1. Minimum of 50% marks in Science and Mathematics in the 10th standard or its equivalent examination. 

2. Minimum age shall be 14 years in respect to the date of admission or as prescribed under the law of the state. There are no restrictions regarding age since the position only requires one to be a legal adult.

3. Possess a qualifying score in the entrance exam that was set and administered by the specific state polytechnics or the instituting offering the program.

4. Any stream student can apply if he/ she has passed in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 basis. 

5. For the lateral entry, qualified students who have successfully completed ITI in related trades can enroll directly into the second year.

6. The admission rules and regulation of reserved category students may get relaxation in the eligibility criteria as per state guidelines.
