The Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration (PGDPA) is a one-year diploma course which aims at producing post graduates in public administration with adequate knowledge of the theories and practices in public administration and policies. The curriculum contains areas of interest such as public policy, administrative law, development administration, financial administration and human resource management as it applies to the public sector. The program assists in the improvement of the organizational competencies and human resources for talent management strategic level jobs in the government sector. 

The minimum prerequisite requirement to apply for this course is a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50 percent marks from any university recognized by UK. Some of the entrance exams that are widely accepted are, UGC NET exam for JRF/ lectureship, SLET exams of the respective state P.S.C and university entrance tests conducted by different universities/ institute. There may also be an option for work experience in the public administration and performance in qualifying examination and/or interviews in many places during the admission process. The PGDPA, a course that lasts for one year, offers a specialisation in order to assume administrative and managerial positions.

2. In short, prospective students who are in their final year of graduation can also apply in a provisional basis if they meet the minimum percentage requirement.

3. The only requirement for this course is to have a computer and internet connection which means that there is no upper limit to the age of the person who would wish to join this course. It is also possible for fresh graduates as well as for those who already have a job and work experience.

4. While there are some institutes that are likely to offer admission based on an entrance test, some will offer admission after testing the candidate through group discussion and personal interview tests. 

5. It is to note here that as per the government norms, reserved category student may be given some relaxation in the cut-off percentage. 

6. Students are required to produce all their credentials and documents at the time of admission only.
