The maritime courses at AMET University are offered at different departments and include the following; The B.Tech Marine Engineering program offers the students admission on the basis of the percentage secured in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of 12th exams like CBSE or state Board. Students also can qualify via diploma programs or other lateral entry programs. The B.Sc Nautical Science program admission accepts students who have passed the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or English with an aggregate of 60% for the general category students. Other competitive examination scores also accepted include IIT JEE Main, MERI, TIMSAT entrance scores. Other undergraduate courses offered at AMET includes B.Tech Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, BBA Shipping & Logistics, B.Sc Ship Building & Repair and so on, with the norms of eligibility being as follows as per AICTE norms.

The admissions for 2024 batch for all the courses and disciplines offered by AMET such as B.Tech Marine Engineering, B.Sc Nautical Science, B.Tech Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, BBA Shipping & … Applicants can apply via online on the official AMET website or they can also directly contact the admission office. The key entrance examinations will be conducted in the month of April-June of the year 2023. This includes a number of exams such as IIT JEE Main, IMU CET, MERI Entrance Test, TIMSAT etc The date will be set next year at an early date. For some of the programs’ admission, there is the use of merit lists as determined by the class 12th results in addition to these entrance tests. A student who gets shortlisted has to write group discussion and personal interview if the admission process includes such tests.
