Bengaluru City University (BCU) Bangalore, Karnataka provides the various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the faculties of science, commerce, arts, law, education. For B.Sc course the candidates must pass the 12th with science background and minimum 50% marks. For the B.Com, the candidate must have passed their 12th standard in any group and must have secured at least 50% marks. BA program is open for commerce arts humanities sciences students who passed their 12th standard with a minimum 45% marks. For BBA, the candidate must be a XIIth pass out from any stream and have secured a minimum of 50% marks. BCU accepts the scores of examinations such as KCET, COMEDK, NATA, KMAT, PGCET.
There is approximately 20 programs available at the university, which is presented in the table below. Qualifying examinations, entrance tests and performance in previous examinations are used to qualify a candidate for admission to BCU. Applicants are required to complete the form online or by traditional methods before the deadline. Some departments in universities conduct their own entrance tests for students seeking to join their classes. The admission will be given under merit, preference, eligibility, reservation. Aspirants must bring original certificates and documents such as 10th/12th mark sheets, entrance exam score, ID proof.
Process for filling up of Admission Form online Read the instructions carefully before filling up the form:
1. Other necessary documents like Aadhaar card or PAN card to check the identity and age of the candidate.
2. District education office’ 10th standard marks card and passing certificate for the purpose of showing completion of secondary education.
3. Passing certificate to demonstrate qualification for undergraduate courses and original or a certified true copy of the 12th standard marks card.
4. Mark sheet of the last examination passed, degree certificate and consolidated mark sheet in case of application for Post Graduate Programs.
5. Mark sheets of the last semester/last year from the last attended University/Institute.
6. Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC students as well as income certificate if they want to avail concession in fee. For some of these categories such as the sports quota, there may be requirements for extra certificates.
1. Minimum eligibility criteria – It is mandatory for the students to have their 10+2 examination clear and they should have the necessary percentage as per the norms of the applied course.
2. Application form –The application form can be filled online or offline depending on the slot given to the students.
3. Upload documents - This may refer to scanned copies of the other academic certificates and other testimonials as directed.
4. Fees for the application – Application fees can either be paid online or through physical deposits. Tuition and miscellaneous fees vary depending on certain parameters such as the program applies for.
5. Seat Distribution- In accordance to the eligibility criteria and other criteria like reservations merit lists are published in the official website.
6. Payment of admission fee – This is a final process that the students are required to follow in order to be admitted into the university and this must be done before the due date.
1. The eligibility for the course, students must have cleared 12th standard in any stream with more than 50% marks on an aggregate basis from a recognized board.
2. On-line Application - Students who satisfy the entrance requirements may complete the on-line application form through the BCU admission site on the payment of an application fee.
3. Documents to be uploaded – Scanned copies of documents pertaining to the candidates such as 12th mark sheet, school leaving certificate.
4. Written examination - Applicants have to write the BCU-ET written examination taken in different centers. It includes ability test that has objective question carrying questions on aptitude, logical reasoning and language proficiency.
5. Check merit list – Merit list is prepared as per the entrance test conducted and 12th standard mark list. This makes it easy for applicants to check any given list to see if they have made the cut.
6. Full admission – Students who have got a rank in the merit list can also take up full admission for BBA by paying the admission fee before the final date.

2. For those who wish to apply online or offline the current advertisement along with the application form and the necessary documents has to be submitted before the last date.
3. Sit for entrance examination if any for the program you are applying for in your preferred course.
4. Take a counseling session for seat allotment according to the scheduled date.
5. Final acceptance is done at the time of fee payment as per the counseling session carried out for admission.
6. Finish up all the documents to ensure they are authentic and then apply for the preferred B.Sc course.
