BR Ambedkar Bihar University is situated at Muzaffarpur and provides number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in different stream such as science, commerce, arts, law, education and admission requirement of the courses may be different. Interested and eligible candidates must have passed their 12th standard in science stream with minimum of 45% marks for the B.Sc programs like Physics, Chemistry, Maths etc. For B.Com, candidates who are pass out in 12th standard in any group with minimum 45% marks are eligible. BA program allows passing qualification from twelfth standard from any discipline. The entry requirements for post graduate courses such as MSc (Physics, Chemistry etc) is a relevant Bsc degree while MCom requires BCom degree. Before one can apply for courses like LLB and B.Ed there are certain qualification exams that have to be passed along with minimum percentage requirements. In order to admit students to different courses, the university accepts national level tests such as JEE Main, CAT, GATE, etc as well as state level exams.
University has released the dates for the examinations in different undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the batch of 2024. The BE, B.Pharm, BCA, BBA first semester examinations will be conducted in the month of November 2024. As for the competitive tests, the entrance tests for such courses as MBA, MCA, etc., will begin from March 2024. The process of admission stands different for various courses – Under Graduate courses have students joining by their 12th standard performance while Post Graduate courses have exams and interviews. Documents Required for Admission in BRABU Muzaffarpur for Different Courses:
1. The candidate must have a master’s degree in the relevant subject with passing marks in that subject or a minimum 55% marks for general category and 50% for SC/ST/OBC category.
2. The candidate has to undergo an examination conducted by the university to be able to get admission. Only those candidates who come out with flying colours in the entrance test shall appear for an interview.
3. After the entrance test and interview process, a list of candidates for the Ph.D program is selected.
4. The university provides the list of the candidates who have performed well in the entrance test as well as the interview according to the percentage of marks.
5. There is a practice in the state where candidates are offered places according to performance, availability, and the reservation policy formulated by the state government.
6. The candidate is expected to produce the research proposal within a given timeframe after obtaining a provisional admission.
7. When the research proposal is processed and accepted by the Research Degree Committee, the candidate gets admitted to the Ph.D program and can proceed with the research work.

2. It is very important to satisfy the university standards on the academic qualifications, percentage marks, entrance tests etc.
3. You can download the application form from the university website or get it from the office where all the forms are issued. Before you begin working on the assignment, read the instructions thoroughly.
4. Ensure that you complete the application form correctly and do not make any fake details about yourself. Remember to select the appropriate subject/department that you would like to work with.

10. Take the entrance test/interpersonal communication round as required by the timetable. The above qualifiers are important when applying for Ph.D admission, although their nature is not specific to Ph.D admission.
1. University level examination – As per the norms of the university, the candidate has to write a university level entrance test. 75% weight age is given to the entrance test of the college.
2. Group Discussion – All those candidates who are shortlisted for the entrance test are subjected to group discussion. Group discussion is another task that contributes 10% of the overall assessment.
3. Interview – The next part of the selection process is an interview round which is followed by a group discussion round. The interview also forms part of the final assessment of the candidate and it contributes to 15 percent of the total score.
4. Academic Record – The performance of the candidates will be considered based on the tenth, twelfth, and graduation marks. This part does not have weights of its own but it is used as a general part in evaluating the academic achievements of the candidates.
5. Final Merit – After considering the scores of the entrance examination, group discussion, interview and academic percentage a final merit list is prepared.

2. Application form and information - Application form for the MBA course in BRABU is generally given in the June-July every year through website or the campus office. The cost of the application form is about Rs. 1000/- as per the current market price.

6. Wait for the merit list – after your documents have been verified and your application approved, your name will be included in the merit list prepared by BRABU for MBA programs.
7. Final documents and fee payment – In case you secure a place in the merit list of the BRABU MBA, then complete the formalities of MBA admission like document submission, payment of fees, verification, and confirmation within the specified time period.
