The Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP), which is located in Anantapur, offers a wide array of courses in several fields that include sciences, social sciences, humanities, engineering, and management. Eligibility of the courses also differs with the department and the course if offered to students. For B.Sc. such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, one has to complete his or her 12th standard examinations with at least 50% in the respective subjects. Candidate should have passed 12th Standard examination to pursue BA in subjects like Economics, History, Political Science, one must have minimum 45% marks. The B.Tech in CSE, ECE, Mechanical, etc., intake JEE Main score only. Accepts CAT/MAT/XAT scores along with a minimum of 50% in graduation for MBA programme. MA English offers admission to all graduates of any stream who have secured 50% marks.
Some of the major courses one can pursue across the streams are B.Sc. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics streams; Bachelors of Arts in Economics, History, Political Science; Bachelors of Technology in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical engineering branches; Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Arts in English. The important examination dates are as follows: JEE Main examination date: January-2024 CAT examination date: November 2023 MAT examination dates: February & May-2024 XAT examination date: January-2024 For entry to Undergraduate degree programs one has to apply online on the website of the university. Besides, for the PG programs, one has to appear in tests like CAT, MAT, GATE etc Further, the admission process commences after declaration of 12th results and entrance exams of engineering. The university publication also reveals cutoffs for admission for UG students under merit. For admission to Post Graduate courses candidates are selected based on their performance in the entrance test; group discussion and personal interview.
The CUAP is inviting application for admission to various undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programs for the courses offered at different schools and departments of CUAP Anantapur. For the purpose of admission, students can make their application in either online or offline mode they can visit the official website at www.cuap.ac.in.
For online application, candidates require to go to admission web site, fill up a registration form to get unique id and password and then log into the admission link using this id and password. They are then able to choose the preferred programme, complete the application form including uploading documents where necessary, make payment of the application fees and submit their application.
For offline application the forms need to be downloaded from the website and the candidate needs to fill up the form attaching the necessary documents and sent to the University through post/in person along with a demand draft for the application fee. The university will declare merit lists and candidates who have their names on the final lists will have to turn up for counseling in accordance to the dates provided.
- Intakes are normally commenced in June for entrance examinations or application for the course. The prospectus provides more detailed information on the exact dates and the application procedures when getting into the university.

6. Click the ‘Submit’ button, save a copy of the application confirmation page by downloading and printing it.
7. Obtain a print out copy of the Application Form duly filled in including the fee payment details, for future use.

9. Sometimes after the results are declared, candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria will have to undergo counseling and seat allocation for admissions.
