CU is a state private university situated in the city of Punjab in India. It has obtained UGC recognition, AICTE and NMC approval and accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC in 2022. In the NIRF India Ranking 2023, the university has ranked at 55th place in the university category. The university has under graduate, post graduate and doctoral programmes in the field of engineering, business studies, architecture, pharmaceutical sciences, law, liberal arts and humanities, computer application, science and technology, media studies and fashion designing etc.

Chandigarh University Eligibility Criteria 2024 (by Departments)
Engineering: The minimum educational qualification required to join B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering is to pass 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as subjects. JEE Main rank accepted. Admission based on merit. When it comes to admission, especially to universities and colleges, seats for J&K and NE students are provided.
MBBS: Candidates must possess 10+2 with at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry & Biology. NEET rank required. 15% AIQ. Deviation for reserved candidates. Merit-based admission.
BCA/MCA: The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination and should have studied mathematics or computer science as one of the subjects. Merit-based admission. For the post of MCA - BCA/B.Sc/B.Com graduates.
Pharmacy: 10+2 with PCB or PCM, Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in any discipline, Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). In these universities, a student is admitted directly from senior secondary schooling on the basis of university examination or merit. For MPharm - BPharm degree mandatory where the candidate has to do both MPharm and BPharm degrees as mandatory to get this degree.
Nursing: Minimum 45 % in PCB in 10+2 and having apc. Admission based on merit. BSc honors eligibility- 10+2 with science subjects in English Medical, Maths, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Home Science, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Forestry, Engineering or Computer Science.
