Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences Indore has many departments in several disciplines in the field of arts, commerce, science, law, education, and journalism. The requirements of the programs also differ. For general admission to the courses like BA, BCom, and BSc, the candidates should have passed 12th standard with 50% of marks. For BBA, students require 50 % marks in 12th standard and mathematics as one of the subjects. For the admission into the MA, MSc, and MCom programs, students must have passed a relevant bachelor’s degree with 50% marks. The qualifying examination accepted are 10+2 exam of MP Board, CBSE, ICSE or any other examination recognized as equivalent. The 5 years integrated law programs compulsory for the students include BA LLB, BBA LLB where the students are admitted based on 12th standard pass with minimum 45% marks.

The undergraduate programs available at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences in Indore include arts, commerce, science, and computer applications. The Department of Economics, History, Sociology, Political Science, Public Administration offers a Bachelor of Arts and the eligibility criteria for admission include national level tests such as CAT, MAT, CMAT and ATMA. The BCom program under the Department of Commerce and Management provides options in Accounting and Finance, Banking and Insurance, Marketing Management and Human Resource Management. For admission to BCom exams like IPMAT, NPAT, CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT are deemed to be acceptable. The following BSc programs under the Science Department, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology accept national level entrance exams such as JEE Main, MHT CET, Indore Pharmacy Entrance Test. Ph.D. programs are offered at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University of Social Sciences Indore in the field of Education, Management, Commerce, Economics, Sociology, Political Science etc. In general, the requirements for admission to the PhD program differ depending on the department. Education. Those candidates who possess Master’s degree in Education and valid NET/SET score or any equivalent examination can apply. For Management studies, applicants should have an MBA/PGDM from a recognized university with an average of 55 percent or its equivalent with a valid GMAT/CAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA score. Commerce department recruits candidates having M.Com and 55% aggregate marks in PG with UGC/CSIR-NET certificate. For the Economics, Sociology and Political Science departments, a Master’s degree in the respective discipline with a minimum of 55% aggregate and NET examination score is required. The tests permitted are UGC-NET, JRF, SLET, GATE and any other examination as per the norms set by UGC.
