Dravidian University Kuppam is situated in Andhra Pradesh. It provides different courses in arts, science, education and the field of engineering and much more. The eligibility of the structure differs from departments to departments. For BA in English, Tamil, History candidate needs to qualify 12th in any subject grouping with minimum 50 % of marks. For BSc in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology candidates should have passed the 12 th standard in science stream with not less than 60% marks. For BEd program, it is necessary to pass the TET examination and to have the graduation degree with the marks of 50% in concerned subject. Admission to this course in BE in Computer science engineering is for students who have completed their 12th in the PCM stream and have cleared JEE Main exam. Some of these MSc programs include Mathematics, Physics, Botany, etc., which will require a graduate in the relevant subject with at least fifty-five percent aggregate. MA programs offered provide for enrollment of graduates from arts background and meet the 50% eligibility. In addition to the university entrance examination, which is held annually in May/June at various centres, the University recognizes and considers other national level examination such as JEE Main, GATE, TET, etc.
Currently, the University is able to provide approximately 30 courses spread across faculties of Arts, Science, Education, and Engineering. Some of the most preferred courses in this university are; BA in English, History, BSc in Mathematics, Physics, chemistry, Botany, Zoology, BE/ B Tech in Computer science, Electronics, Mechanical engineering, BEd, MEd, MA in English. The next common entrance exam for admission into various programs will take place between May 15th – 25th 2024. The application form will be available from March 2024 on the University website as mentioned in the table above. It can be completed and given before the due date in April 2024. Some courses follow the merit list based on 12th standard examination and entrance test only. The final list of admission students is released in July 2024, early of the session beginning in August.
The admission form for various programs offered at Dravidian University Kuppam can be obtained through online as well as offline mediums. For online application, the candidates will have to access the university’s website through the link – www.dravidianuniversity.ac.in. To get to the application, navigate to admissions section on the homepage and then click on the online application link. The candidates are also required to register themselves in order to sign up for the application process by creating a user account for themselves and then sign in to the portal and complete the application form in the manner prescribed therein. They have to attach self-attested photocopies of required documents and make the payments of the prescribed application fees through net banking/ credit card/ debit card.
For the offline mode, the application form is available for download from the university’s website or can be obtained physically from the university admission office situated at Kuppam. The duly filled application forms, photocopies of the above documents with self-attestation and money for the application fee in the form of a demand draft should reach the office of the Registrar before the last date. Successful candidates will appear on the merit lists which shall be uploaded on the university website and shortlisted candidates shall be sent a call letter where they will attend counseling and admission processes.
