Gujarat Ayurved University provides a number of ayurveda courses in the streams such as undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D. The BAMS course is provided across various branches including Kayachikitsa, Shalya Tantra, Shalakya Tantra, Prasuti Tantra, Kaumarbhritya, Panchakarma, Agad Tantra, and Sangyaharana. The applicants must have passed 12th science for them to be eligible to apply for BAMS, furthermore, one must have at least a C grade average to be considered. NEET is recognized as official national level examination. The MD/MS courses in more than 14 specializations have the following eligibility requirements: The candidate must have passed BAMS with at least a 50% marks or any other equivalent degree recognised by the CCIM. In addition to the BAMS and MD/MS courses, the university has PhD, diploma and certification courses in many other fields such as Panchakarma, Agad Tantra and Visha, Kshar Sutra Therapy and more.
Education is imparted at the undergraduate and post graduate level as well as in the various streams and disciplines of ayurveda that are offered by the university. In terms of academic year the school year is from October, while admissions are normally from July. For the admission to BAMS and other courses, the registration for the academic session 2022-2024 has to be completed before August 08, 2022. NEET 2022 exam date is based on the official notification released by NTA and the exam will be conducted on July 17, 2022.
