Guru Nanak Dev University Regional Campus Jalandhar provides several courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in arts, science, commerce, computer applications and other fields. The basic eligibility criteria are as follows: However, eligibility criteria do differ across departments. For admission to the courses such as BA, BSc, and BCom, the student must have passed 12th class with a minimum of 45-50% aggregate from a recognized board. For BCA, the candidate must have done 12th grade with mathematics computer science IT or statistics with 50% marks. For MA/MSc/MCom, the admission requirements include having a bachelor’s degree, 45-50% pass in the relevant specialization from any reputed university. Candidates who have appeared in CUCET/Uni-GAUGE-E/PU-CET examination are subject to be acceptable for the entrance test. BSc (Hons) is just an example; such programs have more requirements for eligibility.
Some of the popular courses offered across the streams are BA with specializations in Economics, English, Political Science; BSc with specialization in Mathematics, Physics; BCom with specializations in General and Computer Application; BCA; MA in Punjabi, History and Economics; MSc in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry; MCom; Masters in Business Administration; Master of Computer Applications besides Add-on certificate programs. Important dates for exams next year - The CUCET exam date is scheduled for May 21st, 22nd and 23rd, 2023. For entrance examinations, the registration process begins early February at the following year, 2023. The admission process consists of – online application form submission where the students can upload their documents, appearing in the entrance test if applicable, announcement of test results, counseling in which documents are verified, provisional seat allocation, and final admission upon payment of fees before the last cut-off date. It involves several steps including the academic performance, merit in the qualifying examination, and counseling round.

To apply online , please visit the website at http://www.gnduadmissions.org and click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab. Choose your preferred course and complete all the necessary information on the application form with due consideration. This includes uploading soft copies of the photograph, signature, required documents such as educational certificates etc. Pay the online application fee through credit/debit card, through net banking or UPI. It is also important to take a print out of the entire completed form for future use.
For those applying offline, one can obtain the admission prospectus and application form from the university campus by making a cash payment. Please complete the form to the best of your ability, and provide certified copies of the documents that are required. Enclose a self-attested passport size photograph, signature, and documents in support of birth, qualification, caste, and other relevant certificates with the application form and send it through the post or in person at the Admission Section, Guru Nanak Dev University Regional Campus Jalandhar before the last date. Application fees can be submitted via demand draft in favor of ‘Registrar, GNDU’. An admission can therefore be granted based on the scores obtained by the student in the qualifying examination or any university entrance tests if any.

2. Apply online – Another way of applying for admission at GNDU is through an online portal. On the university website navigate to the applications tab and look for the online application option. The second step is to provide all of the required information in the form.
3. Scan and upload documents - Based on the instructions given, you will be required to scan and upload your 10th and 12th mark sheets, certificates, photos etc.
4. Pay application fee – It is essential to pay the application fee of the examination through the payment gateway that is available on the official link. Refer to official website as the fee structure and application fee tend to vary with each university.
5. Submit the application form online - At the end of the form, ensure that all the details filled are appropriate and submit. Be sure to jot down the registration or application number.
6. Show your face for counselling – If you are selected, then there are counselling rounds and this is where you get to select your branch and the seat will be given to you.
7. Admission – The final reporting of the Admission Process is done at the allotted College with fees and original documents for the confirmation of Admission.
- The notification and the application form of the LLM course is generally issued in the month of May or June. It is also noteworthy that the exact dates are not always the same each year.
