IIIT Dharwad is an autonomous university which offers BTech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering Mechanical Engineering and also Mtech programmes in Computer Science and Data Science. For BTech programmes, students are required to pass class 12th with 60% aggregate in PCM/PCB for general/obc category and 55% for sc/st students and must have to qualify JEE Main or KCET. It uses scores from other national level entrance examinations for admission to the BTech, such as the JEE Main and KCET.
The institute has a four-year BTech programme in computer science, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering streams and a two-year MTech programme in Computer science and Data science fields. Important exam dates for admission in session 2024 are – JEE Main in Jan and April, 2023, KCET 2023 in April/May, 2023. Interested students, who meet the requirement of any national / state level entrance test, can apply for the programmes as and when the application form is made available every year mostly in the month of May.

1. Open the official website of the college and look for the admission tab on the homepage of the college which is iiitdwd.ac.in
2. On the home page, go to the ‘Admission’ tab on the top of the page and look for ‘B.Tech admissions’, then click on ‘online application’.
3. Open a Login account and enter all necessary information in the online form
4. The student can upload documents like tenth and twelfth mark sheets, photographs and such as mentioned by the institute.
5. Pay application fees through online only
6. Approach the concerned authority and fill up the necessary forms, and take printout of the same for future use.
7. Use the website frequently to know more about the tests to be conducted to select the candidate.
8. Otherwise, if had been selected then students should complete all the admission procedures before the last date.
