Karnataka Samskrit University in Bangalore is a linguistic university which provides several courses in different stream of Veda, Vyakarana, Sahitya, Darshana, Jyotisha, Dharmashastra, and Indology. There are slight differences in eligibility criteria depending on the department or program of study. The candidates should have passed PUC or equivalent examination for the subjects of Veda, Vyakarana and Sahitya. For admission to MA in Dharmashastra and Jyotisha, one needs to have passed Bachelors degree. MA in Yogashastra mentions that candidates holding a diploma or degree in Yoga would be considered. Accreditation: MSc in Indian Astronomy and Astrology shall be available to Candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. The qualifying examination accepted are PUC/ 10+2, Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University as per requirement of the program.
The University provides the undergraduate, post graduate, M.Phil, and PhD courses in Veda, Vyakarana, Sahitya, Darshana, Jyotisha, Dharmashastra, Indology streams.

The online application is easy to follow and accessible to all individuals. It is required from the candidates to go to the official website www.ksu.ac.in, Admission menu, and select the proper page. The programs being offered by the Karnataka Samskrit University in Bangalore include various under graduate programs offered across all the departments such as Sahitya, Vyakarana, Vedanta, Nyaya and Jyotisha among others. For the admission in the B.A. degree, the students are expected to complete their 12th standard in any group with a minimum of 45% marks. In addition to the above examinations, some departments also allow students holding certificates of Shastri, Acharya, Vidyanidhi, and Prachina Nyaya Shiromani exams for admission. The B.A. Honours in Sahitya is opened to students who have completed their PUC/12th exams or have passed Acharya/Shastri exams in Sanskrit. The B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics is one of the Preferred subjects in 12th grade and minimum percussive marks are 45% for admission.
The University provides Undergraduate courses in the different faculties of the Arts, Letters, Science and Oriental learning streams like Sahitya, Vyakarana, Darshana, Vedanta, Jyotisha, Nyaya, etc.
Karnataka Samskrit University in Bangalore It offers PhDs across various departments of Veda, Vyakarana, Sahitya, Darshana, Jyotisha, and many more departments. In the program, the criteria for admission to a PhD differs from one department to another. For Veda candidates, the applicant must possess Master’s degree in Veda or any other relevant subject with at least 55% marks. The pass in NET, SET or any other equivalent test passed in Veda or in other related subjects are accepted. For Vyakarana, candidates must have a Master’s in Vyakarana for the minimum passing percentage of 55%. Appropriate tests would be UGC NET, K-SSET or equivalent in Linguistics, Sanskrit, Computational Linguistics, Vyakarana. The eligibility is identical to Sahitya, Darshana, Jyotisha and other departments same as discipline Master’s and exams.
The University provides full time & Part Time PhD programs in faculties of Veda Vedanga, Darshana, Vyakarana & Nyaya, Sahitya, Sanskrit Teacher Training, Indology and many more.
