Karnataka State Open University is an institute situated in Mysore of Karnataka providing various courses in arts, science commerce, law education stream in under graduation and post graduation section Students must pass 12th exams or equivalent for Bachelors’ degree courses , their percentage requirement differs from department to department 45% for BCom subjects while 40% for BA subjects. KSOU has released the exam schedule for all courses for admission in the academic session 2024-25. End of semester bachelors program exams are usually conducted in April/May while Masters program exams in June 2024. There is competitive examination for certain courses in July for the year 2024. Degree courses are semester based and conducts end semester exams for each year while PG Diploma has annual system of examination. The submission of the applications is done online at the University website from January 2024. The admission process involves the applicants signing up with the portal, choosing the program or stream to apply to and submitting their eligibility documents as expected by the respective department by cutoff dates in March. The candidates are first screened according to their performance in qualifying exams and tests during the entrance if any. It starts towards the end of the fiscal year in 18 regional centres and over 100 learner support centres once admissions are completed before the end of July 2024.
