Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS) which is located in Coimbatore was established in the year 1984 and it provides the following undergraduate and postgraduate courses of study in areas of Engineering, Technology, Management, Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences. It is still important to note that the given criteria might change according to the department and program offered. For most of the B Tech programs like CSE, ECE, EEE, Civil, Mechanical, etc. candidates should have passed their 12th standard or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Math’s with minimum 50-60% marks. The tests accepted include JEE Main, KCET, GAT-B, etc For MTech, the candidate must be a BTech/ BE holder with an aggregate of 50- 60 % in the specific stream of interest. The preferred candidates should be those who have qualified the GATE examination. The MAT/CAT tests are required to secure an MBA degree which is a three-year bachelor degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks. Masters in Computer Art MCA calls for a Bachelors in Computer Science or its equivalent. The eligibility of the programs and departments in basic sciences, arts, journalism and languages are with relevant Bachelor degree in the particular discipline.
It has about 100 undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and PhD programs offered under faculties of; Engineering and Technology, Management, Agriculture, Basic & Applied Sciences, Social Sciences & Humanities. The other important exams date for 2024 admission are GAT-B is conducted in the last week of May 2023 for B. Pharmacy and KCET exam is mostly in the month of April 2023 while JEE Main has two attempts in the month of January and April 2023 respectively. The CAT and MAT exams are conducted in the months of May and June 2023. The application forms for KITS programs are advertised from October every year up to the following year. The admission process includes qualifying in the entrance tests, group discussion, further interviews and verification of academic records, and final merit list. The academic session starts from third week of August every year.

1. 10+2/HSC marks – percentage of marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology / Computer Science is taken-hook
2. Performance in KITS entrance test: Applicable to all programs offered in the college, applicants are required to take an entrance test with questions in general ability, logical reasoning as well as subject areas of the specific course they are applying for.
3. Interview –The applicant is interviewed with regard to his/her interests, attitude and aptitude toward the program.
4. Co-curricular activities and accomplishments: – Any extracurricular activity, or performance in games and sports, art and music, social and communal service etc. are taken into account.

2. Decide on the program that you want to apply for in B.Sc – courses that are offered include mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science among others.
3. Ensure you have meet the eligibility criteria set for the program, which may include 12th grade marks/scores in relevant subjects
4. Apply for the program of your interest either online or by physically visiting the college, for this you will need to download a prospectus and application form from the college website or get them from the admission office in person.
5. In the application form, provide all the relevant data that is called for without leaving any blanks.
6. It is preferable to attach photocopies of documents such as 10th and 12th mark sheets, community or caste certificates, etc., if necessary.
7. Pay the application fee either through online or by Demand Draft along with the filled in application form.
8. Scan the duly-filled application form along with the documents and fee payment receipt as PDF and send them to the admissions center either in-person, or by post/courier before the communicated deadline
9. You should also keep copies of all the documents tendered for the application and all subsequent communication for reference.
10. Visit college website or speak to an admissions office to know about selection list and the rest of the admission procedure once the application is over.

2. Select the particular BA program for which you are planning to apply – BA English, BA History, etc. This will direct to the online application form.
3. To open an account click on the ‘Create an Account’ link and enter your email ID and other basic information.
4. Enter your complete application details – basic details, educational details, communication details, and so on.
5. Scan and upload 10th & 12th mark sheets & certificates as required by the company during the application process. Ensure that the scanned documents are clear and legible to ensure accurate scanning.
